Montgomery Legal PLLC is a veteran-owned family-law practice in Asheville, North Carolina. The office serves families in Asheville and across Western North Carolina in family law, estate planning, and related matters. This page is for journalists, directories, and partners who need the firm’s name, marks, or photographs. It is a brand kit, not a newsroom. We do not publish a press-release archive here.
How to name the firm
On first reference use Montgomery Legal PLLC. After that, Montgomery Legal is fine. The attorney is J.S. Clinton Montgomery; Clinton is acceptable in running copy. Please do not shorten the firm to a nickname, drop PLLC on first mention in a masthead or legal notice, or add rankings or awards the office has not given you.
Asheville and Western North Carolina
The office is at 207 Hillside Street, Asheville, NC 28801. Accurate location language is “Asheville” or “Asheville and Western North Carolina.” Do not imply additional offices in other cities.
What you may use
You may use the following for editorial coverage, a directory listing, or a partner page, without suggesting the firm endorses an unrelated product or cause:
- The firm name as written above.
- The circular ML monogram downloaded from this page (gold on navy, or navy on cream).
- The on-site lockup: the circular ML mark, the serif wordmark Montgomery Legal, and a smaller gold PLLC.
- Photographs of attorney J.S. Clinton Montgomery, paralegal Dustin Parker, and the Asheville office that appear on this website, with credit to Montgomery Legal PLLC. For print, broadcast, or a crop, request a file rather than lifting a compressed web image.
How to request assets
For a higher-resolution logo, additional portraits, or questions about using the name and marks, call the office or send a note through the contact page. Please include the publication or directory, your deadline, and whether you need the ML mark, the wordmark lockup, or a photograph.
Official monogram
The downloadable mark is the circular ML monogram used on this site. Use the gold mark on navy or other dark fields, and the navy mark on cream or white. Use it with the firm name nearby, or alone only when the full name is already on the same page (for example a social avatar).
Wordmark
The wordmark is the primary identification. Set “Montgomery Legal” in a high-contrast serif (EB Garamond on this site) with “PLLC” in smaller gold lettering. The circular ML mark sits to the left of the name, the same lockup as the site header (navy on cream) and footer (cream on navy). Do not set the firm name in a sans-serif or all-caps lockup. Use the mark alone only when the full name is already nearby.

Montgomery LegalPLLCColor
Keep the palette to navy, cream, and gold. Do not introduce other accent colors.
- Navy (#14213D). Wordmark and navy ML mark on cream or white.
- Navy deep (#0D1829). Footers and large navy panels; field for the gold ML mark.
- Cream (#F7F3EB). Page background; cream wordmark on navy.
- Gold / brass (#B8954A). PLLC, the gold half of the ML mark, and small emphasis only.
Clear space
Leave open space around the lockup at least equal to the height of the ML circle (or the height of the capital M in the wordmark). Do not crowd the mark with other logos, rules, or copy.
Do
- Use the navy wordmark and navy ML mark on cream or white, and the cream wordmark and gold ML mark on navy.
- Keep “PLLC” gold, smaller, and letterspaced, never the same size as “Montgomery Legal.”
- Reproduce the circular ML mark from the PNG files on this page. Do not redraw it.
- Scale the lockup proportionally so the lowercase g in Montgomery is never cropped.
Don’t
- Don’t stretch, squeeze, outline, or add a drop shadow to the wordmark or monogram.
- Don’t recolor the marks: no black-only, no gold wordmark, no gold mark on cream, no navy mark on navy.
- Don’t place the lockup on a photograph or busy pattern without a solid navy or cream field.
- Don’t separate “Montgomery” from “Legal,” or replace PLLC with a different entity suffix.
- Don’t use the retired square serif-M monogram.
Photographs
Portraits of attorney J.S. Clinton Montgomery and paralegal Dustin Parker appear below and on the About page. Those images may be used to identify the people pictured. Credit Montgomery Legal PLLC. Do not crop in a way that misrepresents the office, and do not overlay other logos. For a higher-resolution file, request it as above.
